my disney graduation trip!

Last night I flew in from Orlando, and my wonderful Disney spring break vacation came to an end. Here’s a recap of all the awesome things I got to do:

WEDNESDAY 3/23

Exercise: none

Activities: 6:30 flight to Orlando, car rental, Universal Studios, grocery store, Noodles&Company, hotel room. This was one of the longest days of my life–I had only gotten 4 hours of sleep the night before and was up for 22 hours straight.

Highlight: shopping in Harry Potter World and POSEIDON’S FURY.

THURSDAY 3/24

Exercise: one hour run around Polynesian and Grand Floridian

Activities: Magic Kingdom round one!

Highlight: CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS and meeting Cinderella and Rapunzel. Yummy chili for lunch at the Columbia Harbor House

FRIDAY 3/25

Exercise: 90 minutes on the stationary bike in the hotel gym

Activities: Hollywood Studios!

Highlight: lunch at the 50s Prime Time Cafe–vegan brownie sundaes!

SATURDAY 3/26

Exercise: one hour run on gym treadmill and one hour outside run (Polynesian and Floridian)

Activities: Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and amazing vegan dinner at Tom + Chee! While at Animal Kingdom, I met Mickey and Minnie!

Highlight: Vegan goodies from Erin McKinna’s Bakery at Disney Springs

SUNDAY 3/27–EASTER

Exercise: 90 minutes on stationary bike in hotel gym

Activities: Universal Studios, Wonderworks, Magic Kingdom at night

Highlight: Winnie the Pooh and Big Thunder at night–plus we got to ride a tiny boat back to the Polynesian (we walked to SOG from there)

MONDAY 3/28

Exercise: none

Activities: Chef Mickey’s and EPCOT

Highlight: Vegan mickey waffles at Chef Mickey’s and yummy falafel in Morocco in EPCOT! ALSO MEETING BAYMAX

TUESDAY 3/29

Exercise: one hour run around Polynesian and Grand Floridian

Activities: Magic Kingdom round two, attempt to do Winter Summerland (which involved lots of buses and peeing at Animal Kingdom), Hollywood Studios for an hour to meet Kylo Ren, and then a FABULOUS dinner at Trail’s End with Chef TJ!

Highlight: CHEF TJ was the best chef in the world. He cooked us a six-course vegan meal and I had never felt so full and happy and satisfied. I highly recommend Trail’s End for all sorts of vegan adventures.

WEDNESDAY 3/30

Exercise: 45 minutes on stationary bike, 15 minute brick on Shades of Green property

Activities: Hollywood Studios, then flight home at 8:45pm

Highlight: Meeting Sulley, Mike, Woody, and Buzz Lightyear! Yay for character meet and greets!

Overall it was an awesome trip and I can’t wait to go back and do it all again 🙂

Goodbye

Emily
